Dr C.F. Kwong

Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering University of Nottingham Ningbo, China

Dr C.F. Kwong is Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. His research focuses on 5G/6G mobile communications, C-V2X vehicular networking, satellite navigation and positioning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and AI-enabled wireless systems for smart mobility and smart cities. 
He has led and co-led externally funded projects in China and Malaysia on 5G-V2X handover, vehicle platooning resource allocation, digital twins in higher education, and RF energy harvesting, supported by the Ningbo Science and Technology Bureau, Ningbo Education Bureau, Zhejiang Province Education Bureau and the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. 
Dr Kwong has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers, including recent work in IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials, and other leading international journals. 
He also serves the profession as an Academic Accreditation Accreditor and Professional Registration Interviewer for the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and as a member of Engineering Council UK task and finish groups on Artificial Intelligence and technological developments in engineering education. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council UK, Senior Member of the IEEE (SMIEEE), and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
